Digestive Disease Center
The Digestive Disease Center at UWMC offers a full range of consultations and procedures for the care of digestive disorders, also known as gastroenterology,
and problems of the gastrointestinal system. Many of these procedures involve using a tube to look into the gastrointestinal tract in order to diagnose, and in some cases,
treat, problems of the digestive system. Endoscopy procedures are used, for example, to discover the reason for swallowing difficulties, heart burn, bleeding, chronic
indigestion and abdominal or chest pain. This clinic, located in UWMC's Surgery Pavilion, is a regional resource in gastroenterology care, and treats patients from
throughout the United States.
Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center
The University of Washington IBD Center offers comprehensive state-of-the-art care for patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including
Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. The IBD Center believes in a multi-disciplinary team approach to providing top-quality care for patients.
Expert physicians, surgeons, nurses and other healthcare professionals work together as an integrated team with the goal of providing
the best care possible to each individual patient.
Liver Tumor Clinic
The Liver Tumor Clinic at UWMC is a multidisciplinary clinic that offers one-stop consultation for patients with malignant primary or secondary tumors or benign liver tumors.
Physicians include specialists in interventional radiology, diagnostics, surgical oncology, pathology, hepatology, transplant services and medical oncology.
