The VA Puget Sound Health Care System encompasses hospitals and clinics in both Seattle and Tacoma. Our primary clinical and research sites are the Seattle and American Lake divisions. These sites provide both local primary care and regional tertiary care to military veterans. A full spectrum of patient care services are provided for gastrointestinal and liver disorders, from peptic ulcers to inflammatory bowel disease and pancreatico-biliary disorders. Faculty members at these locations specialize in gastroesophageal reflux, viral hepatitis, alchoholic liver disease, and gastrointestinal malignancies. In addition, expertise is also available in gastrointestinal aspects of health care research and development, geriatrics, substance abuse, marrow transplantation, and spinal cord injury.
